The all new software v2.7 for LRP‘s iX8 V2 puts the pedal to the metal! More bottom and
mid-range punch will allow you to clear that difficult double-triple jump without trouble,
and higher top speed will give you the advantage on the straight to leave your opponents
in the dust!
Initial Drive Mode has been enhanced to allow for an overall higher maximum of 30%
while giving an extended range of seven possible values. Power Profile Mode has been
expanded by two additional values for even more aggressive throttle response and overall
power. Finally, v2.7 comes with new factory settings, selected to ensure optimal universal
performance.
To achieve the best results, experiment with the extended setting options and adjust
them based on your driving style and individual racing conditions. Higher Initial Drive and
Power Profile settings are best suited for an aggressive style and high traction, while lower
settings work well on low grip and result in a smoother feel.

Drive Mode Profile
(v2.7 > unchanged):
Allows you to adjust your ESC for all
applications. No matter which motor rota tion
direction you need and if you want reverse or
not you can set it up accordingly.
You can disable reverse if you plan on using
forward/brake only as you‘re used to from
your nitro vehicle.
CW motor rotation mode is available for
models with reversed gearbox which normally
cannot use a sensored brushless system.
Intelligent Brake/Reverse v1.0:
This dedicated part of the firmware provides
a new level of driving experience when swit-
ching between braking and driving backwards
and provides high reverse driving speed
compared to the iX8.
Initial Drive (v2.7 > updated feature):
Defines percentage of initial throttle power.
This allows to adjust smooth throttle or
aggressive acceleration.
Values have been extended and increased, gi-
ving you options from 1% to 30% Inital Drive.
Suggested settings:
Smooth feel (better for low grip): 0-2
Aggressive feel: 3-4
Very aggressive feel: 5-6
Attention: Higher Initial Drive settings in-
crease the motor temperature significantly.
When you are running high Initial Drive set-
tings, motor temperature protection should
always be active! Always monitor motor
temperatures in order to adjust correct
Initial Drive values!
Power Profile (v2.7 > updated feature):
Allows you to adjust the ESC feel to your
likes.
Whether you run on slippery or high traction
surfaces, we have incorporated a profile
for you!
Higher value means more overall power and
more aggressive throttle response.
Protection (v2.7 > unchanged):
Defines protection level. In normal operation
only values 0 and 1 will be shown.
• ALL: Protection for ESC, motor and battery
active. ESC will shut down when critical
tempera ture of ESC or motor is reached or
when battery voltage drops too low.
• ESC: Protection for ESC and battery is
active. Protection for motor is disabled.
When battery cutoff voltage is reached, you
will still be able to drive at reduced speed for
an additional 30 seconds.
• NONE: This setting disables all protection
of ESC, motor and battery. To disable all
protection, first select value 1, then press
and hold SET button for 5 seconds -> blue
LED flashes 2x. To reactivate all protection
(value 0), press SET again.
Warning: For extreme competition
application only! Possible damage of ESC,
motor and battery will not be covered under
warranty!
