Read this instructions booklet carefully before using this equipment. By doing so, you
will obtain the best results and maximum safety in use.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Before inserting the plug, check that the voltage figure on the equipment’s identifica-
tion plate conforms to that of your electrical system.

Do not touch hot parts. Use the handles.

Never place this equipment in water. To clean the toaster, all you need is a damp cloth.

While using this toaster, set it up so that it has plenty of space in order for air to cir-
culate freely around it.

This appliance is suitable for cooking foods. It must not therefore be used for other pur-
poses or altered or tampered with in any way. Any other use is to be considered impro-
per and thus dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be considered responsible in any
manner whatsoever for eventual damage resulting from improper. mistaken and unrea-
sonable use of this equipment or from repairs made by unqualified individuals.
If the equipment is connected to the electrical network, keep in mind the following basic
rules of safety:

do not touch the toaster when your hands are wet or damp;

do not use this equipment if you are barefoot or if your feet are wet;

do not pull the cable or the toaster itself when detaching the plug from the electrical outlet;

do not leave the appliance within the reach of children or leave unanttended whilst in opera-
tion.

do not leave the toaster plugged in when not in use, because it could become a
potential source of danger;

this equipment’s power cable must never be replaced by the user; if the cable is
damaged, contact only a service centre duly authorised by the manufacturer.

in the event that you decide not to make any further use of this toaster, we recom-
mend that you cut the cable in such a way as to make it unusable.
Keep these instructions in a safe place.
The materials and objects intended for contact with foodstuffs are in compliance with EEC
directive 89/109.
INSTALLATION
• Before using, check that the appliance has not been damaged during transport.
• Install the appliance on a horizontal surface, and out of the reach of children, as some
parts of the appliance reach very high temperatures during operation.
• Before inserting the plug in the power point, check that:
- your mains voltage corresponds to the value on the rating plate underneath the
appliance.
- the power point has a minimum rating of 10A.
- the power point is suitable for the plug, otherwise replace it.
- the power point is suitably earthed. The manufacturer declines all liability if this
instruction is not respected.
• Operate the appliance for at least 5 minutes and air the room, in order to eliminate
the "new smell"
• Clean the plates using a sponge or damp cloth and then dry carefully.
• Before using, carefully wash the non-stick grill.
