APPLICATION
Linear LED luminaires are suitable for use in the following hazardous (classi-
fied) locations as defined by the National Electrical Code (NEC
®
):
The assembled luminaire shall be installed in accordance with the National
Electric Code NFPA70.
NEC/CEC
• Class I, Division 1, Groups C, D
• Class I, Zone 1, Group IIB
• Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F, G
• Class III
• Wet location, IP66, Type 4X
These luminaire housings shall be used with UL Listed Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds
Series hazardous locations luminaire fitting mounting means, Cat. Nos. PM Kit
1.25, PM Kit 1.5, PM Kit 2.0, ZP1050MTK, ZP1057MTK, MP1054MTK KIT.
UL Standards:
• UL844 Luminaires for use in Hazardous (Classified) Locations
• UL1598 Luminaires, UL1598A Marine
• UL8750
CSA Standard:
• CSA C22.2 No. 250
• CSA C22.2 No. 137
Refer to the luminaire nameplate for specific classification information, maxi-
mum ambient temperature suitability and corresponding operating temperature
(T-number).
Linear LED luminaire construction is designed for use indoors and outdoors in
marine and wet locations, where moisture, dirt, corrosion, vibration and rough
usage may be present.
INPUT VOLTAGE:
• UNV1: 120-277 VAC 50/60 Hz
STORAGE ENVIRONMENT:
The ZPL Luminaire and accessories must be stored in an ambient from -40°C
to +85°C.

To avoid fire, shock and/or explosion,
This product should be installed, inspected and maintained by a qualified
electrician only, in accordance with all applicable electrical codes.

WARNING
To avoid electric shock,
Be certain electrical power is OFF before and during installation and
maintenance. Fixture must be supplied by a wiring system suitable for
Class I, Division 1 per NEC with an equipment grounding conductor.
To avoid burning hands, make sure luminaire is cool when performing
maintenance.

WARNING
To avoid explosion,
Make sure the supply voltage is the same as the fixture voltage.
Do not install where the marked operating temperatures exceed the
ignition temperature of the hazardous atmosphere.
Do not operate in ambient temperatures above those indicated on the
fixture nameplate.
Use only replacement parts from Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds Division.
Use proper supply wiring as specified on the fixture nameplate.
All gasket seals must be clean and undamaged.
Before opening, electrical power to the fixture must be turned off. Keep
tightly closed when in operation.

WARNING
To avoid explosion,
Seal luminaire conduit within 18 inches (457mm) distance and in
accordance with local electrical code requirements and NEC Article 501
(CEC Section 18).

WARNING
In RAV1 (combo) luminaire, use switch to illuminate one color at a time,
illuminating both colors at a time may compromise product performance
over time due to excessive heating of the internal components.
