1. HOW TO USE YOUR BINOCULARS
A. IPD (INTERPUPILLARY DISTANCE) ADJUSTMENT
The interpupillary distance is the distance between the centres of your pupils to set the lenses for best
vision.
Set the interpupillary distance by grasping the lens-barrels and banding the body of your binoculars until you
can see one circle of view.
Here's how to do it. Don't worry about focus just yet. All we're doing
right now is setting the distance between the two barrels.
Hold the binocular up to your eyes and bend the hinge, moving the
barrels closer together or farther apart until the two images become one
circle.
When you see one circle, you have the interpupillary distance set
correctly. That's all there is to it.
Now you're ready to focus your binocular. If you find that you can't
focus both eyes at the same time.
B. FOCUSING
Close your right eye, focus left side by turning the centre focus wheel until the object appears sharp and
clear. Open your right eye, close your left eye, rotate right eyepiece until the object is sharp and clear. Now
that both sides are in focus objects at different distances can be focused by rotating the centre wheel. Note
the setting on the scale on the right eyepiece for your eye and return to the same setting for later use.
