Electrical Enclosure
1 Overview
The HPB407 is a steel electrical enclosure for housing batteries, power supplies and transformers. This enclosure has a
wide range of applications for access control, security and CCTV systems that require additional electrical storage space.
For convenient operation, this enclosure comes with a hinged door containing five convenient ½" (1.27 cm) knockouts.

Temperature range: -4°F to 95°F (-20°C to 35°C); indoor use only.

3 Possible contents
•
Transformers: Up to two HT28100's or two HT28175's.
•
Power supplies: One HPL624, HPS3 or HPS5.
•
Distribution boards: Up to eight with two expansion brackets.
•
Battery chargers: One.
•
Batteries: Up to four 7 Ah batteries.
•
Relay boards: Up to to eight HRB5 or HRB1224 relays with two expansion brackets.
4 Installation Instructions
1. Unpack product and discard all packing materials.
2. Pre-drill holes where enclosure is to be mounted. Choose a vertical surface, strong enough to support the full weight
of the assembly, located in an area without excessive amounts of moisture. Indoor installation only.
3. Secure enclosure to the desired location, using appropriately sized fasteners that can support the full weight of the
assembly.
4. Configure contents using instructions supplied with devices.
5. Mount contents inside enclosure.
Note: Some devices mount with foam-backed adhesive tape. This tape is
permanent
; determine placement of devices before removing the plastic coating from the adhesive surfaces.
6. Disconnect power to branch circuit and route wires to enclosure as needed.
7. Connect incoming lines as specified in device instructions; connect ground pigtail to incoming ground wire.
8. Route all low voltage wiring at least 3/8" (0.953 cm) from any 120 V mains wiring (indoor installations only).
9. Power the branch circuit and assure any external transformers are plugged in.
10. Verify device operation.
11. Secure the cabinet cover with metal screws to prevent access by unauthorized personnel.
