This guide will assist you in setting up and enabling
Vocollect SRX and SRX2 Wireless Headsets for use
with Talkman devices.
Additionally, this guide describes how to connect
and use a listening kit with the SRX/SRX2 headsets
and Talkman devices.
Note: This guide does not describe pairing
SRX/SRX2 headsets with handheld devices. See
Vocollect Hardware Documentation and the device-
specific release notes for information on that
process, if supported.
SRX/SRX2 Quick Start Guide
Setting up the device in VoiceConsole
1. Create a device profile for Talkman devices enabling Bluetooth, the SRX/SRX2 headset, and automatic
pairing by setting the following parameters:
•
Bluetooth_IsEnabled=true
•
Bluetooth_IsDiscoverable=true
•
SrxHeadsetEnable=1
•
SrxAutoPairEnable=1
For TouchConnect pairing of a Talkman A700 device and an SRX2 headset, turn on only two of these
parameters: set Bluetooth_IsEnabled to “true” and SrxHeadsetEnable to “1.”
2. Load the device profile onto the Talkman device(s) that will be used with the headsets.
See the VoiceConsole Help for details on setting parameters and creating and loading device profiles.
Pairing an A700 device and an
SRX2
headset with TouchConnect
Turn on the SRX2 headset.
If you are sharing
headsets at your site:
You must first associate the operator ID to the device by reading the headband:
1. Touch the SRX2 T-bar
symbol to center of the raised oval on the side
of the device with the
symbol, until the device state (ring) indicator
blinks green. VoiceConsole can now recognize the operator.
2. Within 30 seconds, touch the side of the A700 device that has the
symbol to the oval area of the SRX2's keypad section, aligning the ovals
on each and holding them together steadily, until the device state (ring)
indicator blinks green.
If you are not sharing
headsets at your site:
1. You only need to pair the device to the SRX2 electronics module:
2. Touch the side of the A700 device that has the
symbol and the oval
area of the SRX2's keypad section together, aligning the ovals on each
and holding them together steadily, until the device state (ring) indicator
blinks green.
Note: If the device state indicator blinks red, the device and SRX2 did not pair. Attempt to pair them again.
When the device starts the task, VoiceConsole recognizes the pairing.
