PLATE WARMER MODEL: PW12C / PW12B
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
BEFORE USE
First read these instructions through carefully and keep them in a safe place for future reference. Check that the voltage
of your domestic electricity supply matches that of the equipment (220-240 volts). Only connect the equipment using an
earthed plug.
The PW12 Plate Warmer has a capacity of 12 plates and is fitted with an on/off switch and indicator light.
USE
•
Place the Plate Warmer on a flat, sturdy surface and insert the plug in the socket.
•
Next, open the covers and switch on; the indicator lamp will now light up.
•
When the Plate Warmer reaches its operating temperature the indicator lamp will go out. The indicator lamp will
continue to switch on and off as the heater operates. There are twelve grooves in the warming plate into which
plates with a maximum diameter of 30cm can be placed vertically. Bowls can be placed on the warming plate
horizontally.
•
To ensure even heat distribution across the plates, rotate them in the rack using an oven glove. Caution: The
edge that has been nearest the heater will be hot!
•
When the plates or bowls are needed, they can be removed from the warming plate. Use an oven glove for this.
Then switch off and unplug.
CLEANING
•
Always unplug the appliance before cleaning it.
•
Allow the warming plate to cool off before cleaning it.
•
Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
•
Clean first with a soft, damp cloth and then with a dry cloth. Never use caustic substances, bleaches or alcohol
when cleaning.
CAUTION
•
WARNING – This appliance, by its nature, gets hot.
•
Only turn the appliance on when the covers are open, and do not close these until the Plate Warmer is
switched off and has cooled down.
•
Only place dry plates on the Plate Warmer.
•
Do not use the Plate Warmer outdoors.
•
In order to avoid electric shocks, never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
•
Always unplug the appliance when not in use.
•
Do not place the appliance near other heat sources or flammable objects.
•
If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or suitably qualified
person in order to avoid a hazard
•
Ensure that the cable is so positioned that nobody can trip over it and that it does not touch the warming plate.
•
Remember that using parts that are not approved by the manufacturer can be dangerous.
•
Only use this appliance for the purposes for which it is intended.
•
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
•
Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
