Assembly Instruction for IMO Solar Connectors
Parts:
SIC-M-4F
Female cable connector
SIC-M-4M
Male cable connector
IMO Parts SIC-M-4F and SIC-M-4M should only be used together.
If, during assembly, parts or tools other than those stated by IMO Precision Controls Ltd are used
or if these assembly instructions are disregarded then neither safety nor compliance with technical
data can be guaranteed.
!
For protection against electric shock, IMO PV connectors must be isolated from the power source
whilst being either assembled or disassembled.
!
Upon assembly the end product must be placed in a suitable location to provide protection from
electric shock.
The use of PVC cables is not recommended.
IMO PV connectors must not be unplugged whilst under load. The products can be placed in a no-
load state by switching off the DC/AC convertor or by placing the Solar (DC) Isolator in the OFF
state.
It is unadvisable to use non-tinned cables of type H07RN-F as oxidation of the copper strands
could lead to the contact resistance of the terminal crimp connection exceeding permitted limits.
Disconnected connectors should be protected from the ingress of dirt and water.
IMO SIC parts are watertight to IP67 however, they cannot be used permanently submerged in
water. So not lay the IMO SIC connectors on the roof surface.
