SETUP INSTRUCTIONS STEP BY STEP
IMPORTANT:
Make sure to observe the correct polarity when inserting batteries. The "+" markings on the batteries must line up with the diagrams inside the
battery compartments.
Inserting the batteries incorrectly may result in permanent damage to the units.
During the setup process, place the weather
station and the outdoor sensors on a surface with 5-10 feet between each sensor and the display.
Only
use Alkaline Batteries, rechargeable batteries may
not work.
STEP 1:
Complete initial setup on a table with all components within 10 feet of each other.
STEP 2:
•
Insert the TX55U-IT wind sensor cord into the port of the TX31U-IT thermo-hygro sensor.
•
Check that the connector is not inserted upside down.
•
It is important that the cord “clicks” into place.
STEP 3:
•
Insert two "AA" size batteries into TX31U-IT thermo-hygro sensor with correct polarity.
STEP 4: (Only if using OPTIONAL rain gauge)
•
Insert two "AAA" size batteries into the TX32U-IT rain gauge with correct polarity.
STEP 5:
•
Insert two "C" size batteries into the weather station with the correct polarity.
Note:
Every time the weather station receives data from the sensors, the wireless icons
will blink once and then return
to solid if the last transmission was successful.
•
Do not press any other buttons for AT LEAST 30 minutes while the weather station completes its startup sequence.
Note:
You may see wind and temperature/humidity readings, but you will generally not see rain data until you tip the
rocker 30 minutes after start up. This is because the weather station will first find the thermo-hygro sensor and spend 15
minutes locking in this code. Then it will actively search for the rain gauge for 15 minutes to lock in its code.
STEP 6:
Set Time and Date. See “
Program Menu
” below.
SETUP TROUBLESHOOTING:
If the sensor data fails to reach weather station for any of the outdoor sensors within 15 minutes (“- - -“are displayed), remove
the batteries from all units for 1 minute and start the Setup procedure again at Step 1.
