SERIES
Cat. 2 and 3, or Pull-type — 8’
Solid advantages
in seed placement.
If you are in the seeding business, Land Pride’s 8’ Primary
Seeder offers versatility to seed just about any job you have
to do. If you are a landscaper, sod grower or farmer, we
can seed most types of turfgrass and crops. If you grain farm
or work in highway reclamation, we can seed Alfalfa and
nearly all types of Native Grasses. By utilizing smaller bushel
seedboxes added to the main box, it is possible to seed
three different types of seed at different rates.
PSN MOdeL
If the majority of your seeding is done
with Native Grass or “fluffy” seeds like
Big Blue Stem or Indian Grass, the main
seedbox on the PSN2096 is equipped
with an aggressive picker wheel feed
design. An aggressive agitator also keeps seed moving towards
the picker wheel to keep seeding rates consistent.
The picker wheel feed design in the Native Grass
Seedbox is aggressive enough to feed fluffy, native
grass blends like Big Blue Stem, Indian Grass, and
Side Oats Grama. This box comes standard with
an agitator to keep seed moving toward the picker
wheel, and to avoid bridging.
PS MOdeL
The main seedbox on the PS series
is equipped with our standard fluted
seed cups and agitation to seed most
turf type grasses, as well as a variety
of other seeds from peas to alfalfa.
With the ability to hold up to 8 bushels
of seed, the PS2096 model is perfect
for wide open landscape seeding, turf
farms and some general farming.
A 4-speed gearbox and quick sprocket change is used on the PSN to change
seeding rates. The large cup must remain open for the fluffy seed. This method of
adjusting seed rates is to regulate the speed of the picker wheel inside the cup.
Fluted seed cups meter
the desired amount of
seed every time. Seed
cups are driven off the
front roller.
The simple chain drive
is easily accessible and
delivers a constant,
consistent flow of seeds
through the seed cups.
A pull-hitch is available for the 20 Series Primary Seeders. This pull-
hitch has wheels incorporated into it, rather than being part of the
seeder, making it more compatible with smaller tractors.
