ePass operates with a numeric six-digit code or a word with 6 letters. Up to nine secondary
codes can be added (see next page). Each key press is confirmed with an audible and light
signal.
After entry of a valid code a double signal follows. An invalid entry is followed by a long signal.
After 10 seconds without entry, an already started code entry is cancelled.
Enter code (factory code = 1-2-3-4-5-6), turn knob and open. If not opened within 3 seconds,
ePass secures automatically.
Locking:
Close door and turn knob fully to closing position. The lock is secured.
Manipulation protection:
Entry of four consecutive invalid codes – keypad is blocked for 5 minutes. During this period, the light
flashes every 10 seconds and any key press causes a long signal. After expiration, entry of two more
invalid codes restarts the 5 minute blocking period.
A series of signals during opening indicates that the battery is weak
and must be replaced.
To insert a battery, loosen the screw (if present) and
slide the cap off the unit as shown on the left.
Remove used battery and connect one (1) fresh
battery to the battery clip. Only use fresh 9V-
ALKALINE batteries from brand name manufacturers
like DURACELL
TM
. Align cap in the little track of the
housing and slide back on. Be careful not to pinch the
battery cable.
Please recycle the old Battery
With the main code, up to nine additional opening codes can be added or deleted. The
opening codes are numbered from position one [1] to position nine [9]. To easily keep
track of which positions are used, it is suggested to fill out the table below. You can also
check on the ePass which positions are occupied.
All codes can be changed by the different users themselves (see page 1).
All codes must be different. Code length is always six digits.
Press and hold
Key [1] until double signal. The light remains on during the following
actions.

Enter main code.

Enter selected position [1]-[9] (Double signal if position free)
•
Enter new opening code twice (Double signal after each)
In case of an entry error, wait 10 seconds and begin again.

Key [3] until double signal. The light remains on during the following
action.

Enter selected position [1]-[9] (Double signal indicates position deleted)
Long signal indicates position was unoccupied.
Press and hold
Key [7] until double signal. The light remains on during the following
actions.
