GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR WATERFALL USE
1. Unpack the product, wipe off dust with a damp cloth. Take out all accessories:
A pump.
2. Familiarize yourself with the pump. The switch located at the front of it controls
the water flow. The flow is indicated by a max and min sign. To increase flow,
move switch in the direction of max. To decrease flow, move the switch
toward min.
CAUTION: This pump has been evaluated for use with water only.
NOTE: It is recommended the pump be set at its highest flow during assembly
and later adjusted to a lower setting if desired. Be sure to unplug pump before
adjusting flow setting.
WARNING
: RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK
• Do not connect to any voltage other than that shown on the pump.
• This pump is supplied with a grounding conductor and grounding-type attach-
ment plug. To reduce the risk of electric shock, be certain that it is connected
only to a properly grounded, grounding-type receptacle.
• The national electric code requires that a ground fault circuit interrupter
(GFCI) be used in the branch circuit supplying fountain pumps and other pond
equipment. See your electrical supplies dealer for this device.
• If the supply cable is damaged it can not be replaced and the pump unit
should be discarded.
WARNING
: RISK OF FIRE
• Do not use with water above 30˚C.
• Do not pump flammable liquids.
3. Place copper frame in base of waterfall. Hang copper panel by copper straps
using brass nuts and screws to secure panel in place. Attach the pump to the connector tube on the Waterfall.
Put wires through the notch in the top of the Waterfall. DO NOT plug into outlet at this time.
NOTE: Do not let pump run when NOT submerged in water. Doing so may damage the pump. Always submerge
the pump in water first, and then plug in the unit.
4. Fill base with distilled water to approximately 1/2" above pump. Use distilled water only. Tap water will create mineral
deposits that will result in the corruption of the Waterfall and pump.
5. Plug adapter into 120V household outlet.
WARNING
: This is not a toy. Keep out of reach of Children and Pets.
NOTE: Ensure that the electrical cord loop is below the electrical outlet.” This will prevent water from running
down the cord into the electrical outlet.
MAINTAINING CLEANLINESS AND LIFE OF WATERFALL & PUMP
1. Ensure water pump is kept clean and free of debris. We recommend
using distilled water with this product.
NOTE: To clean pump, first make sure pump is UNPLUGGED
from 120V circuit and remove front plate. Check for and
remove dirt and debris from impeller. Reassemble.
2. Periodically change water and clean the structure of the waterfall
with a mixture of vinegar and cold clean water.
3. Add water to waterfall periodically to keep water level at an optimum
level (approximately 1/2” above pump) to avoid shortening the life of
the pump. Water level should completely cover pump at all times.
NOTE: Never let the pump run dry. This will shorten the life of the pump.
NOTICE: Do not place out doors in weather conditions below 32˚F, may cause water to freeze.
4. To store waterfall after use, unplug the waterfall from the electrical outlet, empty the water, and store in a cool dry
place.
