Baby Supporter Instructions
Thank you for purchasing the MEC Baby Supporter – a useful accessory to help your young child(ren) to sit
upright and provide extra comfort during your outings.
Recommended Age:
The Baby Supporter is intended for use with children between the ages of 3 and 12
months for strolling and jogging only. We do not recommend cycling with your baby supporter until your child
is at least 12 months old. The Baby Supporter can continue to be used up to 18 months, or until your child out
grows the Baby Supporter.
A. Baby Supporter Installation
1.
Remove the upper head support pad by detaching the Velcro located on the back of the Baby Supporter and
remove the head support and the two nylon rods. See Figure 1.
2.
Place the Baby Supporter in the carrier oriented such that the lower triangular pad rests against the carrier’s
seat bottom, pointing forward. Place the carrier’s shoulder harnesses over the two padded fleece panels. See
Figure 2.
3.
Thread the buckle on the seat crotch strap up through the elastic webbing located at the forward end of the
lower triangular pad. See Figure 3.
4.
Reinstall the upper head support pad to the approximate head height of your child. A fully installed Baby
Supporter is shown below in Figure 4.

B. Securing Your Child in the Carrier
1.
Seat your child into the Baby Supporter, and then snugly secure the seat belt system exactly as instructed in
your MEC Child Transporter Owner’s Manual (contact MEC if you do not have a copy of this Manual).
2.
If required, re-adjust head support pad so that your child’s head is cupped within the fleece ring on the head
support pad. To do this simply detach the Velcro located on the backside of the Baby Supporter, raise or
lower the head support, and then re-attach the Velcro.
Note
:
When using the Baby Supporter in a bicycle trailer, remove the head support pad, as it may interfere with
your child’s helmet.
Warning:
Always secure your carrier’s seatbelt system around the occupant when using the
Baby Supporter. Failure to properly attach seatbelts could result in serious injury or
death to occupant(s) in the event of an accident. Please refer to the owner’s manual
for proper seatbelt use.
