CREATE YOUR OWN VIDEO ABOUT THE POWER OF DISPLAY

TECHNOLOGY IN THE CLASSROOM AND WIN

25 PORTABLE NEC VT47 PROJECTORS FOR YOUR SCHOOL

NEC Engages Students and Increases Learning Retention with Vivid, Larger-Than-Life Images

Chicago, April 11, 2005 –

Display technology dramatically transforms the way teachers teach and students

learn in school.  Show us how NEC displays would make an impact in your own classroom!   Teachers and

students from kindergarten through 12

th

grade are encouraged to develop a creative two-minute video

showing how display technology would positively affect learning in their classroom.  The winner will

receive 25 NEC VT47 projectors for their school.  In addition, the public can cast their vote for their favorite

video on NEC’s website!

“We’ve found the main challenge teachers face is the need for updated technology,” said David Woolf,

senior director of marketing, NEC Solutions America.  “Kids are being raised in the information age, and are

accustomed to living in a visual world.  We’ve found that display technology helps motivate students,

enhances parent and family communications, and can help students with learning retention.”

Incorporating technology into curriculum at any level can greatly increase the effectiveness of teaching, and

NEC’s award-winning projectors and plasma displays are ideal for educational environments -- from

classrooms to hallways to auditoriums.  In addition, NEC projectors can be placed on a media cart for easy

sharing with other teachers and classrooms.

The video contest starts on April 1 and ends September 1, 2005.   For official rules and details on how

teachers, educators and students can enter to win 25 NEC VT47 projectors and to order a free
