NEC SVP Server

Guarantee the quality of
your Wi-Fi telephony system

The NEC SVP Server ensures excellent voice quality for wireless handsets
on your converged Wi-Fi network. Using the industry-standard SVP
(

Spectralink Voice Prioritisation)

protocol, the SVP Server provides

unparalleled quality of service (QoS) for NEC’s MH110 and MH120
handsets. The SVP protocol has been field-proven in a wide variety of
applications, consistently providing outstanding voice quality.

Benefits

The SVP Server:

NEC’s SVP Server

 sets the

standard for voice quality

ƒ

  is fully compatible with 802.11b wireless networks;

ƒ

ensures enough bandwidth is available for data applications; and

ƒ

  requires minimal administration and maintenance.

Wireless convergence with no trade-off

Voice quality needn’t come at the expense of data throughput. The SVP
Server works in conjunction with NEC’s UNIVERGE range of SVP-
enabled Access Points to prioritise voice traffic and ensure sufficient
bandwidth for voice and data applications.

Network administrators can set a maximum number of voice calls
allowed on the access points, guaranteeing the availability of bandwidth
for data traffic.

When combined with the UNIVERGE range of IP telephony servers, a
single SVP server will support up to 80 simultaneous calls. SVP Servers
can be teamed to concurrently support over 800 calls.
