Safety
• All light fittings must be installed in accordance with current
safety regulations to prevent life-threatening accidents.
• If you are the least bit unsure how the installation is to be
carried out, contact a competent electrician.
• The distance from the light fitting to the nearest wall or
other object must be no less than 50 cm.
• This light fitting is classed IP21 and as such is only suitable
for indoor use. The light fitting may be installed in bathroom
zones 2 and 3 but local regulations must be taken into
consideration. The light fitting must be attached to a water-
impermeable ceiling surface which prevents water from
leaking down and reaching the light fitting from above.
• The light fitting must under no circumstances be altered
or modified.
• The light bulbs become very hot. Let them cool before
handling them.
Note:
• The light fitting comes without light bulbs. There are several
types of GU10 light bulbs available, such as energy saving
CFL bulbs and LED bulbs.
• There are even simple tools available for simplifying the fitting
and removal of PAR bulbs into this type of light fitting, e.g.
Clas Ohlson article number 36-4550. They grip the PAR
bulbs by means of suction cups, enabling them to be
handled more easily.
Installation
1.
Warning!
Always turn off
the power before beginning
the installation.
Note:
The colour of the wires might not always correspond to
the colours stated in this manual. If you are unsure, contact
a competent electrician.
• The life of halogen
bulbs can be pro-
longed by avoiding
skin contact with
them.
1. Screw the light fitting’s ceiling bracket (B) to the ceiling.
The hole spacing of the ceiling bracket fits most ceiling
pattresses (A) on the market.
2. Connect the wires of the input power cable (D) as shown
in the figure below.
-
The brown or black wire (live phase) should be connected
to the “L” terminal on the light fitting.
-
The blue wire (neutral) should be connected to
the terminal marked “N”.
-
The green/yellow wire (Earth) should be connected to
the terminal.
Care and maintenance
Clean the light fitting by wiping it with a lightly moistened cloth.
Only use mild cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive
chemicals.
Disposal
This product should be disposed of in accordance with local
regulations. If you are unsure how to proceed, contact your
