Operating Instructions for B1RR / SR / NR / TR Watercoolers
A. INSPECTION
Inspect the carton and water cooler for evidence of concealed damage. Damage claims should be filed with the carrier
B. MAINTENANCE
•
Periodically remove dirt and lint from the condenser. Inspection should be done every three months. If cleaning is required,
disconnect the power supply cord, then clean the condenser with a small stiff non-wire brush. Following this procedure will ensure
adequate air circulation through the condenser for efficient and economical operation.
o
NOTE: Under no circumstances should the cabinetry be cleaned using a water jet
•
FreshGuard helps prevent foreign matter from entering the cooling tank. Its parts should be inspected, cleaned and replaced (if
necessary) at regular intervals. Operation of the cooler without FreshGuard components in place may allow airborne dust particles to
enter the cooling tank.
•
Cleaning of water contact components
o
The European Bottled Water Association recommends that water contact parts should be cleaned and sanitised every 3
months. It is recommended that this process is carried out by trained personnel
C. OVERLOAD PROTECTION
•
The compressor is equipped with an automatic reset protector that disconnects the motor from the line in case of an overload.
D. LUBRICATION
•
This unit is equipped with a sealed compressor that requires no additional lubrication.
E. TO PUT WATER COOLER INTO SERVICE
1.
This unit is suitable for indoor use in domestic, commercial & industrial locations. They should not be sited in locations where they
may be subjected to rain or snow.
2.
The unit should be operated with the stability cord at the rear of the unit fixed to the wall at all times.
3.
The stability cord wall fixing should be mounted securely to the wall at a height of 660mm from the floor. The unit should be
located approximately 140mm from the wall. Ensure that the cord is taut.
4.
Power cords fitted to the cooler must be tied securely to the back of the unit (base) using the cord restrainer supplied, in such a way
that it is not possible to remove the power cord from the appliance by pulling on the flexible cord.
5.
Bottles should be no larger than 19 litres
6.
When fitted to a cooler the height from the floor to the top of the bottle should not exceed 1.4 metres.
7.
Ensure that the appliance is positioned to give access to the plug after the unit is installed.
8.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced. A replacement cord of type X attachment is available from OASIS
9.
Recommended ambient temperatures for correct operation of the unit are between 10ºC and 32ºC
10.
For safe operation, the unit should always be placed on a level surface.
11.
Check the available power supply against the water cooler data plate to ensure correct electrical service. (DO NOT PLUG IN AT
THIS TIME )
12.
Cold water temperatures may be adjusted via a slotted screw on the body of the control (can be accessed through wires on the
condenser). Turning this screw in the clockwise direction will make the water colder (and vice versa)
•
CAUTION: DO NOT INSTALL THE WATER COOLER IN AN AREA WHERE WATER JETS MAY BE USED
Cook and Cold Model
1.
Invert a water bottle on top of the cooler.
2.
Draw water from the faucets
3.
For models with an IEC power inlet,
o
Connect the female portion of the approved power cord into the IEC inlet.
o
Insert the plug top of the power cord into the electrical supply socket.
4.
Allow about 30 minutes for the water to chill after the cooler is plugged in. (Optimum cold water temperatures will not be reached
for several hours).
Hot and Cold Model
1.
Partially fill the reservoir - about 3/4 full
2.
Open the hot faucet until water flows freely
3.
Invert a water bottle on top of the cooler.
4.
For models with an IEC power inlet,
o
Connect the female portion of the approved power cord into the IEC inlet.
o
Insert the plug top of the power cord into the electrical supply socket.
5.
Place the hot tank heater switch in the “ON” position
6.
Allow the cooler to operate for about 30 minutes for chilled and hot water dispensing
CAUTION : ON MODELS WITH HOT TANKS, FAILURE TO FILL THE HOT TANK WITH WATER BEFORE TURNING
ON THE HOT TANK HEATER SWITCH CAN CAUSE PHYSICAL DAMAGE TO THE UNIT. WATER FROM THE HOT
FAUCET CAN SCALD
F.
TO DISCONTINUE USE OF WATER COOLER
1.
Disconnect the power supply cord from the power supply.
Cook and Cold Model
1.
Remove bottle from reservoir.
2.
Drain water in reservoir through faucets.
