Colouring hair

head. (fig. 15)
Make sure all the pins of the hair-colouring comb touch the scalp.
2
Press the on/off button to dispense the colorant.
3
You will achieve the best results by making slow combing movements
through the hair from the top of the head downwards.
◗
The indication marks on the colour reservoir tell you how much
colorant has been used. (fig. 16)
4
Stop the colorant flow from time to time by taking your finger off the
on/off button and make circular movements with the hair-colouring
comb to distribute the colorant through your hair evenly and precisely.
(fig. 17)
5
Switch the Color Precise Total off by releasing the on/of button.
◗
Open the reservoir holder by pressing the two release buttons
simultaneously. Remove the colour reservoir and clean it or dispose of it.
Do not use the hair-colouring comb a second time. Residues of the colorant
used during the previous colouring session can cause lumps and may hamper
the even distribution of the colorant.
Colouring only the roots
1
Screw the roots-only brush onto the colour reservoir.
2
Create a parting line with the enclosed comb.
3
Dab the colorant on the left and right side of the parting line using the
roots-only brush. Continue doing so along the entire length of the
parting line. (fig. 18)
4
Make sure you dab the colorant on the roots and do not make
excessive brushing movements.
5
When you have dabbed all the roots along one parting line, create
another parting line with an ordinary comb. Repeat steps 2 to 4 for
each parting line until all roots have been coloured.
Stop the colorant flow from time to time by taking your finger off the on/off
button and use the roots-only brush to distribute the colorant over the roots
evenly.
◗
The indication marks on the colour reservoir tell you how much
colorant has been used. (fig. 16)
When the colorant has been used up, you will hear a click when the disc
returns to bottom position.
6
Allow the colorant on the roots to develop for the time recommended
by the colorant instructions.
7
Unscrew the roots-only brush and replace it with the hair-colouring
comb.
8
Touch up the rest of the hair with the remaining colorant by combing it
slowly with the hair-colouring comb and by making small circular
movements every now and then to distribute the colorant evenly over
the hair. (fig. 17)
Tips
◗
If the reservoir capacity of 100 ml (one bottle of colorant) is not enough
to colour all your hair or roots, fill the colour reservoir with a second
package of colorant. See 'Preparing the colorant'.
◗
There are various ways to colour hair that is longer than shoulder
length. We advise you to gather the hair and put it over one shoulder.
Hold the hair with one hand and the appliance with the pins pointing
upwards in the other hand to colour the hair ends. (fig. 19)
◗
Do not remove the colour reservoir before you have coloured all the
hair or all the roots.
◗
Check your hair carefully before you stop colouring and use the
remaining colorant to colour any bits you may have missed.
