Mit dem Netzteil versorgen Sie Ihre PIKO SmartBox
®
mit einer konstanten Ausgangsspannung in
Höhe von 18 V DC. Das Netzteil kann maximal 96 VA (5,3 A) als Leistung abgeben.
Bei einer Funktionsstörung durch z. B. Überlastung (ca. 5,5 A) oder Kurzschluss wird der elektroni-
sche Überlastungsschutz ausgelöst und schaltet automatisch die Ausgangsspannung ab.
Es liegt also kein Defekt vor. In diesem Fall sollten Sie einige Verbraucher abschalten oder ggf. das
Netzgerät kurz von der Versorgungsspannung (110-240 V) trennen. Nach erneuter Inbetriebnahme ist
das Steckernetzteil wieder voll funktionsfähig.
Sämtliche technischen Daten zum Netzteil befinden sich auf dem Typenschild des Gerätes.
Anschluss des Netzteils:
Schließen Sie entsprechend der Bedienungsanleitung des PIKO SmartControl

Systems 55040 Ihre
Anlage (Gleis, Zubehör, etc.) an. Stecken Sie nun den Hohlstecker in die Hohlsteckerbuchse Ihrer
PIKO SmartBox
®
(Anschluss „PWR“).
Wichtig!
Beachten Sie stets, dass der Hohlstecker richtig fest in der Buchse sitzt. Verwenden Sie nur
den Kenndaten des Schaltnetzteiles entsprechende Geräte. Ihr Regler / bzw. Steckernetzteil könnte
beschädigt werden bzw. nicht korrekt funktionieren.
Achtung: Wichtige Sicherheitsinweise
Bitte bewahren Sie die Bedienungsanleitung auf, da sie wichtige Informationen enthält.
Das Schaltnetzteil ist kein Spielzeug, es ist nicht für Kinder unter 14 Jahren geeignet. Es dient aus-
schließlich dem Betrieb von Modellbahnanlagen und Zubehör.
Schließen Sie das Steckernetzteil nur an eine Steckdose mit der auf dem Typenschild angegebe-
nen Netzspannung an.
Entfernen Sie das Netzteil aus der Steckdose bevor Sie elektrische Verbraucher anschließen
(z.B. Schienenanschluss, Weichenantriebe, Beleuchtung etc.). Kurzschlussgefahr.
Schließen Sie nur Geräte an, die für die Verwendung mit diesem Netzteil vorgesehen sind.
Schließen Sie den Hohlstecker am Kabelende nie kurz.
Vor der Reinigung alle angeschlossenen Produkte vom Netzteil und dieses vom Stromnetz trennen.
Berühren Sie nie die blanken Metallteile am Anschlusskabel, wenn das Netzteil am Netz ist.
Führen Sie niemals die Hohlsteckerbuchse des Anschlusskabels in eine Netzsteckdose ein.
Betreiben Sie das Netzteil ausschließlich in trockenen Räumen.
Ziehen Sie das Netzteil nie am Kabel sondern nur am Gehäuse aus der Steckdose.
Überprüfen Sie regelmäßig das Netzteilgehäuse und das Netzanschlusskabel auf etwaige
Beschädigungen. Bei einem Schaden darf das Netzteil bis zur vollständigen Reparatur nicht ver-
wendet werden!
Zur Schadensbehebung ist das Netzteil an den Hersteller oder einen bevollmächtigten Vertreter
zurückzugeben.
Bitte weisen Sie Kinder unbedingt darauf hin, dass das Netzteil nur entsprechend seiner Bestim-
mung eingesetzt werden darf.
Die Überprüfung und der Anschluss der Geräte liegen in der Verantwortung der Aufsichtspersonen!

Diese Garantie erstreckt sich nicht auf Schäden, die durch unsachgemäße Behandlung entstanden
sind. Sie erstreckt sich nicht auf eventuelle entstandene Versandkosten.

We guarantee that the specified product is free from faults in materials or workmanship. If
nevertheless a justifiable claim arises within two years from the date of purchase we guarantee to
make repairs free of charge. In this case return the article to PIKO together with the receipt issued by
your model rail dealer. The PIKO transformer is subject to stringent safety regulations and may only
be opened and repaired by the manufacturer.
Any contravention will lead to loss of all guarantees and a general refusal to repair the product.
This guarantee does not cover damage caused by incorrect handling. It does not cover any transport
costs.

Technical Details:

With the power supply you provide your system with a constant output voltage of
18 V DC. The power supply has a maximum output of 96 VA (5,3 A).
In case of a malfunction caused by overloading (approx. 5,5 A) or a short-circuit, for example, the
overload protection is triggered and automatically deactivates the output voltage. This is not a defect.
Just switch off some itmes or unplug the power supply. The plug power supply functions fully again
after it has been taken back into operation.

Connecting the power supply :
Connect your system (track, accessories, etc.) as described in the operating instructions for the

system 55040. Now insert the hollow plug into the hollow plug jack of the
PIKO SmartBox

Important!
Always ensure that the hollow plug is firmly seated in the jack. Only use devices which are
conform to the rating of the power supply device. Your controller and plug power supply device could
be damaged or not function correctly.

The power supply is not a toy and is not suitable for use by children under 14. It is exclusively
designed for operating model railway systems and accessories.
Only connect the power supply to a socket which has the voltage stated on the rating plate of the
power supply.
Remove the power supply plug from the socket before connecting electrical consumers (e.g. track
connection, points switching, lighting, etc.) Danger of short circuit.

intended purpose.
The supervising person is responsible for the inspection and connecting of the devices!
