The updating process does not erase the recorded titles, timer recording settings, various system settings of this
unit, and saved program guide data.
Press
STANDBY/ON to switch on this unit.

OPEN/CLOSE to open the disc tray.
Load the update disc on the disc tray. Do not
close the disc tray.
Press
(PLAY) while holding down
(STOP
REC).

The disc tray automatically closes. Stop holding
down button and do not perform any operations
until the updating process completes in step 8.

The disc tray opens after a while. Remove the
update disc from the disc tray. Do not close the
disc tray but leave it open.

The updating process begins. “LOAD” appears in
the front panel display, and the display changes
as follows:

The disc tray automatically closes after
approximately 5 minutes, and the power is
switched off. This completes the updating
procedure.
If “WRT FAILED” or “HDD ERR” appears in the front
panel display, switch off the power and follow the
updating procedure again from step
1
.
(“HDD ERR” continues to be displayed, but you can
perform the updating procedure with the same
operations as described above.)

• It takes approximately 5 minutes for the updating process to complete.

The disc tray automatically opens during the updating process. If this unit is mounted in a rack with doors,
be sure to open the doors in advance.
•
DO NOT switch off the power, unplug the power cord, or close the disc tray by force.
• Other operations and timer recordings are not available during the updating process.
