What is compass calibration?
Compass calibration allows the Wayfinder to
separate the earth’s field from the magnetic fields
generated by your vehicle. Without calibration,
the unit displays inaccurate readings.
When do I calibrate the compass?
• When used for the first time in a vehicle.
• When moved to a different location in the
same vehicle.
• When moved to a different vehicle.
• When the battery is removed (unless supplied
12-volt power source).
• When there has been a change to your vehicle
(ex. new stereo installation).
• When the degree symbol flashes continously,
indicating distortion.
