Explanatory terms
Resistive appliances are appliances that consume the
same current quantity for the whole duration. E.g. lights.
Inductive appliances, on the other hand, consume much
more current at the start than in normal operation. This
includes coffee-makers, boilers, heating appliances, etc.
If the inductive appliance exceeds the inductive capacity
of the time switch the appliance may not be connected to
it. If it is the switching contact in the time switch will
prematurely fail. This falls outside the guarantee
conditions.
Rechargeable battery
A rechargeable battery ensures that the set time and all
other settings are saved in the case of a power failure (to a
maximum of 150 hours with a fully charged battery). If the
battery appears to be nearly empty on purchasing, plug the
time switch into the plug socket for 5 minutes before
starting programming.
