Caution: We highly recommend that you have an authorized QMS service technician install your QMS 4060 as well
as the optional large-capacity input feeder and the 3000-sheet large-capacity output stacker. However, if you do
install these options yourself (or if you ever move the printer and these options), you must make certain that the
option aligns correctly with the printer.
This document provides quick installation information for both the large-capacity input feeder and the 3000-sheet large-capacity output
stacker. For complete information, refer to chapter 6, “Hardware Options,” in the Options manual (on the 4060 Documentation
CD-ROM).
Unpack all items
from the box.
Save the packing
material for
possible
repacking.
Locate the
support stand,
the support stand
guide, and the
sheet guide.
Open the front
door of the
printer.
Using a Phillips
screwdriver,
remove the right
side paper input
cover by
loosening the
front screw and
removing the rear
screw.
Attach the sheet
guide to the
printer using the
screws you
loosened and
removed earlier.
Install the
support stand
guide using the
screws attached.
Lift the support
stand and place it
on top of the
support stand
guide.
Attach the
support stand to
the support stand
guide.
Pull out the
support stand
slide-rails until
they lock in the
out position.
Set the LCIF on
the pins of the
slide-rail.
Secure the LCIF
to the support
stand using the
thumbscrews.
Slide the LCIF
into the sheet
guide on the
printer until it
locks in place.
Caution:
Adjust the
leveling feet
on the
support
stand so that
the leveling
chains are
just touching
the floor.
Make sure the
power on the
printer is turned
off.
Press the release
handle on the top
of the LCIF, and
pull it away from
the printer.
Connect the
interface cable to
the connector on
the rear lower-left
side of the
printer.
Slide the LCIF
into the sheet
guide on the
printer until it
locks in place.
