The iSTART Li-Ion Power Pack is a compact, hand-held, power

source for charging or supplying power to most 12V or 19V

electronic devices. It’s also powerful enough to jump start a

12 volt gasoline engine on a car, truck, motorcycle, ATV or

watercraft.

Prior to use, test the iSTART Li-Ion Power Pack’s battery level

by depressing the power button and refering to chart below.

Recharge every 30 days or when the capacity indicator lights

indicate low charge. Fluctuations in temperature can

accelerate battery discharge. Check your unit often.

Charging the iSTART Li-Ion Power Pack

NEVER USE ANY CHARGING DEVICES OTHER THAN THE

AC AND DC CHARGING DEVICES INCLUDED WITHIN, OR

DAMAGE MAY RESULT!

The iSTART Li-Ion Power Pack can be charged either with the

AC wall socket charger or the 12 volt DC power plug adapter

included.

Throughout the charge cycle, the capacity indicator lights will

flash one by one. During charging, each light will glow solid as

the unit charges. Once all lights are glowing solid, the unit is

then fully charged.

To charge mobile phones or other USB devices:

IMPORTANT: Verify that your mobile phone or device

will accept a 5 volt charge rating.

1) Insert your mobile phone or other device’s USB cable to the

5 volt USB output port (#5) of the iSTART Li-Ion and continue

to step 4.

2) If a charge cord is unavailable, select the USB cord (white

#13) and insert it into the 5 volt USB output port (#5) of the

iSTART Li-Ion.

3) Select the correct connector tip (white #13) for your mobile

phone or other device and connect it to your device.

4) Depress the power button on the iSTART Li-Ion to begin

charging or supplying power.

To charge laptops or notebooks:

IMPORTANT: Verify that your laptop or notebook

will accept a 19V charge rating.

1) Insert the adapter cord (black #12) into the 19 volt output

port (#3) of the iSTART Li-Ion Power Pack.

2) Select the correct laptop cable tip (black #11) for your

laptop or notebook, attach it to the adapter cord (#12), and

connect to your device.

3) Depress the power button on the iSTART Li-Ion to begin

charging or supplying power.

IMPORTANT: Make sure the iSTART Li-Ion Power

Pack is fully charged or has no less than 4 capacity

indicators illuminated. DO NOT connect (#8)

jumper clamps to the unit until they are

first connected to the battery.

Connect the red (po) jumper clamp to the positive

terminal of the battery and connect the black (negative –)

jumper clamp to the negative terminal of the battery and

make sure there is a good connection.

Insert the blue connector plug of the jumper clamps into

the iSTART Li-Ion Power Pack and fully insert it until the

shoulder of the plug rests on the case.

Start the vehicle and leave it running.

Disconnect the blue connector plug from the iSTART Li-Ion

Power Pack IMMEDIATELY.

WARNING – Damage may occur if the iSTART is attached

to  a running vehicle for more than 30 seconds after the

engine starts.

Remove jumper cables from battery and return unit to case

for storage.

10A power source.
