USB Mini Optical Mouse
FEATURES
Your RadioShack Optical USB Mouse is designed specifically to
meet the needs of a new generation of PC users. Your mouse’s fea-
tures include:
USB Connector — lets you easily connect the mouse to your note-
book computer’s universal serial bus (USB) port, providing plug-and-
play convenience with Windows 98/2000 and Macintosh operating
systems.
Optical Sensor— your mouse uses a built-in optical sensor instead
of a ball, letting you use it without a mouse pad in your lap or other
contoured surfaces.
Compact Size — your mouse is convenient to carry and use with
your notebook computer.

Note: You cannot use the mouse with Microsoft Windows 95.
FCC STATEMENT
This equipment complies with the limits for a Class B digital device
as specified in Part 15 of
FCC Rules. These limits provide reason-
able protection against radio and TV interference in a residential ar-
ea. However, your equipment might cause TV or radio interference
even when it is operating properly. To eliminate interference, you
can try one or more of the following corrective measures:
• reorient or relocate the receiving antenna
• increase the distance between the equipment and the radio or
TV
If you cannot eliminate the interference, the FCC requires that you
stop using your mouse. Consult your local RadioShack store if the
problem still exists.
This device complies with Part 15 of the
FCC Rules. Operation is
subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause
harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interfer-
ence received, including interference that may cause undesired op-
eration.
This mouse has been tested to comply with FCC standards.
FOR HOME OR OFFICE USE
INSTALLATION
You do not need to turn off the computer before connecting or dis-
connecting your mouse.
To connect the mouse to your computer, plug the mouse’s rectangu-
lar plug into a USB port. The computer automatically detects the
mouse. If necessary, follow the instructions that appear on your
screen to install the mouse.
Notes:
• Refer to your computer’s owner’s manual for the location of the
USB port.
• The mouse only works with a USB port. Do not use a serial port
adapter.
OPERATION
Your mouse works just like a standard mouse.
Important: Your mouse uses an optical sensor. For best results,
avoid using the mouse on transparent glass or on shiny material.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If your mouse is not working as it should, these suggestions might
help you eliminate the problem. If the mouse still does not operate
properly, take it to your local RadioShack store for assistance.
The pointer is not moving smoothly.
• The sensor on the bottom of your mouse might require clean-
ing. Simply wipe the sensor with a soft cloth to clean it.
• The surface where you are using the mouse might be unsuit-
able. For best results, avoid using the mouse on transparent
glass or on shiny material.
The mouse was not detected by my computer.
• Make sure the mouse is securely plugged into your computer’s
USB port.
• Check if your computer’s USB port is working properly. If it is
not, contact your PC manufacturer’s technical support.
• Check the version of your operating system. If you are not run-
ning Windows 98/2000 or a Macintosh operating system later
than MAC OS 8.5, update your operating system so the USB
device can be enabled.
• Make sure the USB port was enabled in the BIOS setup.
There is no pointer on the screen
or The pointer does not re-
spond to the mouse’s movement.
Your computer did not detect the mouse. Make sure your mouse’s
cable is properly connected to the correct port.
