Description 

We have received reports of rattling fans on the backpack blowers. The main reason is that the four metal 
sleeves that are cast into the impeller can come loose from the surrounding plastic. Modified metal sleeves 
that prevent play are now cast into impeller 589 26 61-01 (in production 17 August 2015 as from serial 
number in Table 1). 

Tools required for reworking: 

 

10mm socket 

 

T-handled tap set M5 (5mm x 0,8) 

 

Air to blow out shavings 

 

T27 Torx bit 

 

Torque wrench, up to 12Nm required.
