Replace the Carousel Sensor on a Producer and AutoPrinter II™
Use this procedure to replace the carousel sensor in a
Autostar II™, Protege II™, Amigo II™, AutoPrinter II™, Producer 7100™,
Producer 8100™, Producer 7100N™, and Producer 8100N™
.
Rimage approved parts must be used for this process. The product warranty may become void if parts not approved by Rimage are
used; equipment or parts are tampered with, misused, neglected, or modified in any respect without the written consent of Rimage.
The term “System” is used throughout this document to refer to the Autostar II, Protégé II, Amigo II, AutoPrinter II, Producer 7100,
Producer 8100, Producer 7100N, and Producer 8100N.
Before you begin
1. Stop or pause all jobs.
2. Power off the
Producer
.
3. Disconnect
the
power cord
from the power outlet.

Required tools
:
•
Torx T10 screwdriver
Remove the carousel sensor
1.
Open the
door
.
2.
Remove the
carousel
.
3.
Disconnect the
cable
from the sensor.
4.
Remove the
Torx T10 screw
(Qty. 1) securing
the carousel sensor and bracket.
5.
Remove the
carousel sensor and bracket
from the system.
6.
Slide the
carousel sensor
out of the bracket.

Install the carousel sensor
1. Slide the new
carousel sensor
into the bracket.
2. Insert
the
Torx T10 screw
(Qty. 1).
3. Position
the
carousel sensor and bracket
in the system.
4. Tighten the T
orx T10 screw
(Qty. 1) to secure the carousel sensor
and bracket.
5. Connect
the
cable
to the carousel sensor.
6. Reinstall
the
carouse
l.
7. Close
the
door
.
8. Connect
the
power cord
. The system is ready for use.
