USING THE CARD READER
1. Release and connect the card reader's USB cable into an available USB port on your computer.
2. Insert your media card into the proper slot for your specific card type (see Figure1).
3.
A
device icon or on-screen prompt should appear on your desktop confirming the connection between your computer and
your media card.
4. Open the device folder and begin transferring your data to or from your media card.
5. When all transfers are complete, make sure to properly eject your media card from your computer to avoid any data
loss or errors.
Note:
Most computers will automatically prompt you with an on-screen display or icon on your desktop when plugging in
your media card into the card reader. To manually access your media card on a PC simply double click on the "My Computer"
icon on your desktop or from your start menu. Depending on how many drives are in use, it will come up as a new removable
disk when you plug in the card reader. Mac computer's will only show a device icon on your desktop when the media card is
inserted into the card reader.
REMOVAL OF MEDIA CARDS:
Safely remove your media card from the card reader by properly ejecting the device from your computer. Never attempt to
remove your media card or the card reader while the computer is transferring data. This may harm the device or the data on
your media card. Always make sure your media transfers are complete before properly ejecting your media card.
