1. SAFETY

Risk assess the intended location of the gas cage with respect to the Site’s Fire Safety Management Plan, to potential vehicle
movements and site security requirements.

Gas cylinder safety cage must be used in line with current HSE advice.

The area surrounding the gas storage area should be kept clear of overhanging and adjacent vegetation (minimum distance 3m).

DO NOT
use weed killers to clear vegetation as there is a risk of fire.

Safety sign must be displayed.

All personnel accessing the cage must be adequately trained.

Cylinders must not be subjected to adverse conditions.

Gas cylinder safety cages must be kept clean and subjected to regular housekeeping.

Only store gas cylinders and their associated fittings in gas cylinder safety cages. Combustible stores of any other kind must not be
put with gas cylinders. A gas cylinder safety cage is NOT a store for other items.
WARNING!
Contact with oils, grease, hydrocarbons, tarry substances and many plastics carry the risk of spontaneous combustion,
particularly with some high pressure gases.

Gas cylinder safety cage must be fixed to the ground using bolt holes provided.

Use protective gloves, footwear and goggles for assembly and transport.
2. INTRODUCTION

owder coated galvanised 30mm box frame with 50mm x 50mm x 3mm wire mesh. Hinged door with hasp and staple for padlock (not provided).
Pre-drilled fixing points for bolting to solid surface. Supplied flat packed for easy self-assembly using hand tools (not provided). Supplied with
safety sign.
GCSC219:
Suitable for up to 2 x 19kg Propane & Butane cylinders (≤ 318mm Ø).
GCSC319:
Suitable for up to 3 x 19kg Propane & Butane cylinders (≤ 318mm Ø).
GCSC419:
Suitable for 4 x 19kg Propane & Butane cylinders (≤ 318mm Ø).
GCSC247:
Suitable for 2 x 47kg Propane & Butane cylinders (≤ 375mm Ø).
GCSC447:
Suitable for 4 x 47kg Propane & Butane cylinders (≤ 375mm Ø)

4. ASSEMBLY
4.1.
Assemble as per picture alongside. Seek assistance from another
person for assembly and siting.
4.2.
Consider which way the door needs to open.
4.3.
Use the shear fixings to fix the 4 walls together.
4.4.
Fit the top section in place.
4.5.
Fit the warning sign.
4.6.
Shear the fixings off.
4.7.
Securely fix to a solid surface using appropriate fixings, (not supplied).
