Money Clip Transmitter
Installation Instructions
The SpreadNet Model SN973-MONEY Transmitter is a cash register
money clip. It is designed to operate in any cash register's bill slot
with American currency bills. When the bill is removed, the trans-
mitter will send an alarm signal to the SpreadNet Receiver.
The SN973-MONEY also has a tamper switch associated with the
battery compartment door. Opening the battery compartment door
will cause the transmitter to send a tamper alarm to the SpreadNet
Receiver.

MOUNTING LOCATION
The SN973-MONEY transmitter may be mounted in a cash register
in virtually any location. The transmitter is designed to operate within
the metal enclosure of a cash register without significantly restricting
its range. Select the location and verify reception of the RF signal.

MOUNTING PROCEDURE
The SN973-MONEY transmitter easily drops into any bill slot in the
cash register for easy installation, no permanent mounting is re-
quired.

Note: For continued reliability, test the SN973-MONEY at
least once per year.
To program the SN973-MONEY transmitter, refer to the SN900-
PROG Programming Manual (P/N 5-051-136-00).
BATTERY ACTIVATION
The final step prior to programming and testing the transmitter is
to activate the batteries. This is accomplished by removing the
Battery Tab. See Figure 1 for location of the Tab
.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT
Batteries should be replaced following a low battery indication or
every five years, whichever occurs first. When replacing batteries,
use only C & K model number SN31L-BAT or SAFT model numbers
LS3, LS14250.
IMPORTANT:
After replacing the batteries, slide battery cover door
into place as shown in Figure 3.

INSERTING CURRENCY
Slide a single currency bill under the retainer clip until the bill rests
against the rear stop pins. (Tip: press down gently on the rear stop
pins to allow the bill to slide over the alarm actuators.)
