MACHINE SETUP AND USE
1. Slide the machine in the table edge and tighten the
mounting screw (a) on the bottom of the machine
to mount it on the table.
2. Select the roller (b) you need and insert it into the
roller ball mount (c).
3. Use the Allen key to remove the blade holder (d) and
install a blade (e) onto it, then reattach it to the machine.
4. Turn the lifter arm (f) to the right to lift the blade
assembly (g), insert your leather, then turn the lever (f)
to the left to drop the blade assembly (g).
5. Twist the height adjustment screw (h) clockwise to raise
the blade assembly (g) or counterclockwise to lower it.
6. Twist the angle adjustment nut (i) to change the angle
of the blade. Ensure that the blade does not contact roller (b).
7. Grip the leather firmly on both sides of the machine
and pull it through the machine making sure to pull
both sides down.
TANDY TIPS
Replace the blade whenever skiving becomes difficult.
For general skiving the flat roller is generally the best option.
Ensure that the blade does not contact the roller bar.
When possible use the guide to ensure an even skive.
