Please read this instruction manual carefully before use. Keep these instructions handy for future reference.
Battery Information
1.
This scale operates on 3 "AAA” batteries (included). Always replace all batteries at the same
time; do not combine old and new
batteries. Do not mix alkaline standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries. Replace the batteries when the
Low Battery warning “Lo” appears on the display, or the readings
grow dim or irregular. To replace the batteries:

Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the scale.
3.
Remove the old batteries from the compartment.
4.
Place the batteries into the battery compartment according to the “+” and “
-
” polarity symbols in the battery compartment.
NOTE:
Please recycle or dispose of batteries per local regulations.
WARNING:
Batteries may pose a choking hazard. As with all small items, do not let children handle batteries. If swallowed, seek
medical attention immediately.
PRECAUTION:
Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may explode or leak. Remove the batteries if the scale will not be used for
a long period of time.
General Weighing Operation
1.
Place the scale on a hard, level surface.
2.
Press the “
” (power) button to turn the scale on. The display will show “
-
18:888” and then
zero when it is ready for use. If the
display does not show zero, wave your hand within 3 inches
over the “
TOUCHLESS TARE
” symbol on the scale platform to reset the
scale to zero. The scale is ready for use.

Your scale weighs in pounds/ounces (lb oz), grams (g), fluid ounces (fl.oz.) and milliliters (ml). To change the units of
measurement,
press the “
UNIT
” button on the bottom of the scale
.
4.
Place the item to be weighed on the center of the platform. The weight will display. As you add weight, the weight displayed
increases.
5.
The scale will turn off automatically after approximately 1 minute of non-use or if there is no change in weight after
approximately 3 minutes. Press and hold the “
” button to turn the scale
off manually.
Liquid ingredient measurement:
The liquid measure feature is suitable for all water based liquids, including wine, milk, stock, cream
etc.
Note:
Oils have a lower specific gravity, which will result in a volume reading of approxi10%. If measuring oils by volume
on this scale, please adjust for this accordingly.
