Digital Thermometer
Instruction Manual
Thank you for purchasing a Taylor® Digital Thermometer. Please read this instruction manual carefully before
use. Keep these instructions handy for future reference.
First Use and Battery Information
● Some models have a static cling label on the lens to prevent scratching. Please remove before use.
● This thermometer operates on 2 AAA batteries (included). There is a plastic strip under the battery cover to
prevent battery drain in shipping. Please remove the strip before continuing with these instructions (you may
need to remove the battery compartment cover to avoid breaking the strip).
● If readings or the flashlight grow dim or irregular, replace the batteries. To replace the batteries:
1. Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the thermometer.
2. Insert two (2) AAA batteries according to the polarity symbols inside the battery compartment. Note: Always
replace all batteries at the same time; do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-
zinc) or rechargeable (ni-cad, ni-mh, etc.) batteries.
3. Replace the battery compartment cover.
NOTE: Please recycle or dispose of batteries per local regulations.
WARNING: Batteries may pose a choking hazard. Do not let children handle batteries.
PRECAUTION: Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may explode or leak. Remove the batteries if the
unit will not be used for a long period of time.

unit off.

part of the food. The internal temperature of the food will appear on the LED screen. Do not come in contact
with bone, fat or gristle, as these areas will not provide accurate temperature readings. Take care when
moving the probe into position to avoid injury or damage. DO NOT LEAVE THE THERMOMETER IN THE
FOOD, OVEN OR GRILL WHILE COOKING, AND DO NOT TOUCH THE HOT PROBE WITH BARE HANDS.
4. HOLD FEATURE:

to release.
5. LIGHT FEATURE: Press the ‘LIGHT’ button to activate the LED flashlight for 5 seconds.

minutes to view the display again.
• If the ‘HOLD’ feature was in use before power save, the display will show the last “held” temperature. Press
‘HOLD’ to release.

• If no buttons are pressed within 5 minutes, the thermometer will automatically turn off. Press ‘ON/OFF’ to turn
the thermometer on.
