Description
The Tempo 45055 Coaxial Cable Tester is
intended to test the integrity of coaxial cable with
BNC or F connectors when used with the
terminators supplied.
Note: Use the terminators supplied with the 45055
only. Do not use any other terminators with this
device.
The 45055 requires a 9-volt battery.
Warranty
Tempo warrants to the original purchaser of these
goods for use that these products will be free
from defects in workmanship and material for
one year, excepting normal wear and abuse.
This warranty is subject to the same terms and
conditions contained in Tempo’s standard
one-year limited warranty.
For all Test Instrument repairs, contact Customer
Service at 800-282-7941 and request a Return
Authorization. An Approved Authorization
including shipping label and instructions
will be faxed.
For items not covered under warranty (such as
items dropped, abused, etc.), a repair cost quote
is available upon request.
Note: Prior to returning any test instrument,
please check replaceable batteries or make sure the
battery is at full charge.

Operation
1. Check the battery with a voltage tester to be
sure it is fully charged.
2. See the illustration. Connect one end of the
cable to be tested to the appropriate output
jack of the tester. Connect the appropriate
terminator to the other end of the cable. If the
LED glows red, the cable has a short circuit.
Repair or replace the cable.
3. Press the PRESS TO TEST button. If the LED
glows green, the cable is in good condition.
If the LED does not glow at all, the cable
has an “open” or a break. Repair or replace
the cable.
