Installation and Care

Tent & Frame assembly

1. Remove bag loosening cross straps and lifting over board taking care not to catch bag on the board corners.
2. Extend the ladder to its full length, lock in place and pull down on ladder in order to raise tent board.
3. Air needs to enter the tent when opening to avoid the vacuum effect.
4. The opened board is supported by the ladder on the ground. On soft ground it is recommended to place a piece
of plank or similar to avoid the ladder sinking into the ground which could cause damage to the board.
5. Insert the springsteel rods in the sleeves on the board, 2 longer ones on the centre join. Hook the v shaped end
into eyelets on flysheet to extend it.
6. Ensure you park on level ground and the the 2 aluminium sections are fully locked together in the centre of the
boards when tent is open. Never leave children unattended in the tent.
7. The sidewall is attached by matching the zip on the wall to the zip on the tent. The height of the wall can be
adjusted  by removing the extension zip strip.
8. The inside wall has a large zip that allows access to your vehicle. The bottom of the walls are fixed to the
ground at the PVC peg points.

Your tent must be properly mounted on top of vehicle or trailer by a competent person. Recommended installation
on a solid roof rack or 3 load bars minimum. When travelling at speeds over 100kmh we recommend extra straps
to ensure the tent is securely fastened.
When drilling the boards for mounting ensure that the tent is open to avoid drilling through the canvas.
Never drive with rooftop tent open, make sure the tent is properly secured for travel Ie. PVC cover securely fastened
Always check the mountings and nuts and bolts are securely fastened before any trip and periodically on long trips.
Never stand on the tent when closed. Never climb on the board in mid air without the ladder firmly in position.
For longevity remove your rooftop tent from the vehicle when not in use and store in a cool dry place of the floor.
Ensure your tent is completely dry before storing to prevent mould forming
