Removesetscrewsfrompitmanarmorbendlocktabs
forremovalofretainingbolt.Refertothemanufacturer’s
servicemanualtodeterminemodelandretainingmethod.

Someapplicationsmayalsorequireremovalofsome/all
ofthefastenersinthesectorshaftcovertoallowthe
10385tooltoslideoverthepitmanarm.

Backforcingscrewoutandslipcastingoverthepitmanarm
untiltheforcingscrewlinesupwiththecenterofthesector
shaft.Ensurethattheforcingscrewwillnotdamagethe
threadsintheendofthesectorshaft.Onsomemodels,it
maybenecessarytoinstallaboltintothethreadedendof
thesectorshaftforthepullingoperation.

Oncethetoolisproperlypositionedonthepitmanarm,
apply½"driveimpacttotheforcingscrewuntilthepitman
armisremovedfromthesectorshaft.
