Installation
Note:
The Groundsmaster 3280-D Traction Unit must be
equipped with the Light Kit, Model 30405 to operate the
Registration Plate Kit Light.
1.
Position the machine on a level surface, stop the engine,
remove the ignition key, and engage the parking brake.
CAUTION
If you leave the key in the ignition switch,
someone could accidently start the engine and
seriously injure you or other bystanders.
Remove the key from the ignition switch
before you do any maintenance.
2.
Centering the registration plate backing bracket on the
rear of the hood, use it as a template to locate, mark,
and drill (2) 8 mm (5/16 inch) diameter holes through
the hood (Figure 1).

Mount the plate light to the registration plate bracket
with (2) #10 x 7/8 inch screws and #10 locknuts
(Figure 2). Do not over tighten. Make sure that the lens
points downward and the wires are inserted through
the hole in the plate mount.
