DANGER

fallen into water. Unplug immediately.
2. Do not use while bathing or in a shower.
3. Do not place or store the Shaver/Shaper where it
can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink. Do not place
or drop into water or liquid.
4. Always unplug the unit from the electrical

CLEANING YOUR FOIL/CUTTER BAR
For your system to work properly, it is important
that you begin shaving with blades that are clean
and free of hair and other debris that might effect
performance. It is recommended that you clean
your Shaver/Shaper after every 2 or 3 shaves,
using the cleaning brush, and following the
instructions outlined below.
Shaver/Shaper: Remove the foil head from the top
of your Shaver/Shaper, by pressing the round
button located on the right side of the unit, and
lifting the flex foil head off of the shaver. This will
expose the cutter bar assembly. The flex foil head
may be cleaned of loose material, by gently
tapping it against the surface of your sink. Be
sure your sink is empty, and does not contain any
water in it before you hold your Shaver/Shaper
over it. Never hold any electrical appliance over
any container that has water in it, as it may fall
into the water and cause severe electrical
shock. Remove any loose hair and debris from
the cutter bar assembly and surrounding area, by
brushing it away gently with your cleaning brush.
Then, remove the cutting bar, by gently pressing
down on it, and turning it 90 degrees. It should
pop right off. Run the cutter bar under some
warm water, and dry it off with a paper towel.
Return it to the shaver by reversing this process,
and replacing the foil head. By properly cleaning
and maintaining your Shaver/Shaper it will
provide maximum comfort and bump-free
shaving.
AFTER SHAVING:
Wash your face with soap
and warm water, and apply any talc or after-shave
lotion of your preference.
TIPS FOR FIRST-TIME USERS:
If you are using an electric shaver for the first time,
your skin will probably need to condition itself to this
new shaving technique. Always shave with a light
touch and use your Wahl Shaver/Shaper exclusively
for three to four weeks, or longer if you have sensitive
skin or if your whiskers grow at different angles in
certain areas. Initially, your shaves may not be as close
as you would like. But, stick with it, and you will
eventually get the great shave you are looking for. If
you have been using another type of electric shaver
before, there may be a period of conditioning, before
you receive maximum results from the Shaver/Shaper.
CUSTOM SHAVING
We suggest that you thoroughly cleanse and
completely dry your skin prior to shaving.
Provided your beard is no longer than 1/32”, begin
shaving at the neckline, in short, upwards strokes,
and then continuing upwards, until you have shaved
all areas of your beard, as you desire. The Shaver/
Shaper is especially designed to remove most facial
hair, and give you a close, clean shave, that is bump
and irritation free. Do not press hard against the
skin, but allow the shaver to work for you. The
results should provide you with the closest shave
possible, without bumps or irritation.
For those times when your beard is longer than
1/32”, begin by using a trimmer, to cut your beard,
then use the Shaver/Shaper to get a close, clean
shave. The foil head of the Shaver/Shaper is
especially designed for “bump-free shaving “and will
not feed hair into the cutter bar, that is longer than
1/32”.
(As a general rule, we recommend replacing the Flex
Foil Head every six months for maximum results.
The foil is micro-thin with precise, raised inner
cutting edges around the whisker holes. These
raised cutting edges will wear with use, which will
be indicated if your shaver slows down and the
blades seem to get warm. Always replace the Foil
Guard to protect the delicate dual foil heads when
the shaver is not in use. To ensure continued
shaving satisfaction, you should replace the foils
often and cutter bar periodically. We recommend foil
replacement twice a year. Cutters should be replaced
at least every two years.)
CHARGING OPERATION
The Shaver/Shaper can be used with a cord, or
without the cord if adequately charged. Unlike many
other shavers, you will have the ability to shave even
if the battery power is low.
·For best performance, charge for 18 hours before
the first shave.
This product has been designed with the charger in
the plug. This construction allows the shaver to be
very powerful yet much lighter for easier
maneuverability, and it also keeps the line voltage
safely at the plug, and not in the shaver.
·Plug the transformer cord into the shaver. BE SURE
SHAVER IS IN THE “OFF” POSITION, (MARKED “O”
ON THE SHAVER) WHEN CHARGING, except when
the unit is running.
·In the “off” position, the Recharging Indicator Light
will glow whenever the shaver is connected to an AC
power supply. (If might take a minute or two for the
LED indicator to glow, if the battery is fully
discharged.) The shaver cannot be overcharged, so
you may charge it as often as desired. However,
periodic recharging of the shaver, rather than
continuous recharging, will prolong the battery life.
CORD CARE
The cord should never be used to pull the Shaver/
Shaper. Freedom of movement needs to be
maintained. Care should be used to keep the cord
untwisted, and undamaged.
When stored, the cord should be coiled and placed
neatly in a dry place.

4. Keep the appliance dry
5. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
6. Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
7. Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol
(spray) products are being used or where oxygen is
being administered.
8. Do not use this Shaver/Shaper with a damaged or
broken foil, as facial injury may occur.
9. Always attach plug to appliance first, then to the
outlet. To disconnect, turn all control to “off”, and
then remove plug from outlet.
10. Use only the charger supplied by the
manufacturer to recharge this shaver.

Depending on use, your battery in the Shaver/Shaper
should last four to six years before replacement is
necessary. When replacement is necessary, follow
these simple steps:
1.First remove the Flex Foil Head. Next remove the
Cutter Bar Assembly by gently pressing down, and
turning the bar 90 degrees.
2.Remove the two Spring Clips on the top of the
shaver using a small, flat-blade screwdriver. Place
hand over Spring Clips when removing in order to
prevent the clips from springing away and getting
lost. Pull back the housing away from the shaver.
3.Remove the old battery from the shaver (pry
cement loose).
4.Insert replacement battery (Wahl Part #0745-302),
available from Wahl Clipper Corporation
(815) 625-6525.
5.Assemble the shaver housing. Be sure rubber
gasket is located properly, and snap Spring Clips
back in place.
6.Return the Cutter Bar Assembly and Flex Foil Head.
7.For proper disposal, call 1-800-8 BATTERY for a
recycling center in your area.
QUICK TIPS & HANDY REMINDERS
1.If you are a first-time electric shaver user, or
changing from another brand, there will be a 2-3
week (or less) adjustment period, while your face and
beard adapt to the new foil.
2.When you open your package, charge your shaver
for 18 hours before the first shave.
3.Replace the foil every 6-12 months, depending on
how often you shave and how tough your beard is.
4.Be sure to clean the shaver, cutter bar and foil
every two or three shaves.
5.Replace the cutter bar every 12-18 months.
6.Keep using and your face and beard will adapt to
the shaver.
7.During the break-in period of the cutter bar, you
may experience a black residue left on the face. It is
a harmless combination of whiskers, skin debris and
minute particles from the cutter bar, which will wash
off easily. This condition will quickly disappear with
use.
