INSTALLATION
:
The original brake light insert is unclipped via the service
opening in the rear ceiling area of the Transit. The clips can be
released with light pressure from below (3 mm screwdriver).
Now unplug the power supply plug on the original brake light
insert.
Lay the 10 m extension cable from the dashboard to the cam-
era's mounting hole. Connect the A/V RCA plugs to the rear
camera A/V inputs of your control unit as shown in the cable
diagram above. Now connect the red/black power supply ca-
bles to the camera power supply cables of your control unit.
1.
Clean the surface of the recessed inside edge of the
mounting hole with a degreasing detergent. This is necessary
to ensure proper adhesion of the seal.
2.
Stick the "Memory Foam" sealing tape into the recess at
the installation opening, whereby the sealing tape should lie
exactly against the inner edge. If the ambient temperature is
below 20° C, heat the sealing tape with a hot air blower to
facilitate the installation of the camera.
3.
Connect the camera main cable and the power supply ca-
ble to the ZE-RCE3804*
1
. Insert the camera into the installa-
tion opening in an angled position, as shown in Figure 3, so
that the upper clamps are already in the fi nal position. Press
the lower part of the camera fi rmly and push the camera up-
wards with a strong jerk. The brackets will audibly click into
place.
