3.2.19 PROT parameters
Protocols in this chapter are intended to provide GPS data for real time navigation. The
MAMBOII uses the satellite signals to calculate its exact current location by calculating
its distance from the satellites. The position data within the device is then converted into
latitude and longitude coordinates which are usually provided in the geodetic datum
on which the GPS is based (WGS84) and the configured protocols are transmitted via
integrated Bluetooth™ transceiver direct to the Bluetooth™-enabled device (PC,
laptop or Pocked PC).
This configuration does not match the setting of protocols used for SMS, CSD and TCP
applications. To receive GPS data via SMS, CSD or TCP, please, refer to chapter

This parameter not only allows certain messages to be enabled or disabled but also
specifies the rate at which they are sent to the serial interface (Bluetooth).
