Register Descriptions
14.6.1
Port Output Data Registers (PORTn)
The PORT
n
registers store the data to be driven on the corresponding port
n
pins when the pins are
configured for digital output.
The PORT

registers with a full 8-bit implementation are shown in

The PORT

registers are read/write. At reset, all bits in the PORT

registers are set.
Reading a PORT

register returns the current values in the register, not the port

pin values.

bits can be set by setting the PORT

register, or by setting the corresponding bits in the

P/SET
n
register. They can be cleared by clearing the PORT
n
register, or by clearing the
corresponding bits in the CLR

register.
