User Area Data Registration/Clears
Code
12H 7BH a n m
Function Registers/Clears data registered in the user area of RAM to the user area of FLASH memory.
a = Data types (00H to 05H)
n = Data ID
m = Registers/Clears data (<*******1>B: registers, <*******0>B: clears)
When the least significant bit of m is set as 1, the printer registers data in the RAM to the FLASH
memory. If selected data by a already has been registered into the FLASH memory, the printer
deletes registered data and registers new one.
When the least significant bit of m is 0, the following processes are executed for the data
registered in the FLASH memory.
• User-defined character, downloaded character, optional font:
Turns from "In use state" to "Empty state".
• Routine function, stamp:
Turns from "In use state" to "Release state".
Specify data types as a.
a=0: Downloaded character
a=1: User-defined character
a=2: Optional font
a=3:
Stamp
a=4: Routine format
a=5: Routine parameter
Specify data ID as n.
a=3 selected: Stamp number
a=4 selected: Routine format number
a=5 selected: Routine parameter number
When selecting a as 0 to 2, the value of n is ignored.
The FLASH memory life is shortened if this command is used many times. The FLASH memory
life is approx.100000 times.

User Area Defragment
Code
12H 2AH 31H
Function Sets the FLASH memory again, and turns the shared area status from "Release state" to "Empty
state".
Note
The FLASH memory remaining capacity does not increase by only releasing the area.
The released shared area becomes reusable "Empty state" by executing this command.
The FLASH memory life is shortened if this command is used many times. The FLASH memory
life is approx.100000 times.
