SET_DEFAULT_CONFIG (26h) [Deprecated]
Description
This request changes the default configuration settings of the device. Do not send this request more
than is required! The settings are stored on the device EEPROM and you will exhaust the read/write
cycle if this request is sent too often.
Parameters
Device timeout
Time (in minutes) until the device will turn off if the IDBlue™ button has not been
pressed, or no communication occurs with the remote host. A value of “0” for this
parameter will disable the timeout feature.
RFID Op timeout
Time (in seconds) until the device times out while trying to complete an RFID operation (e.g., read
block, write block)
WARNING: setting the RFID op timeout to “0” (zero) will effectively disable all RFID operations. The device may appear not
to work.
Connected operating mode
Operating modes for the device (when connected to a host):
Reactive (01h)
Sends an event to the host when the button is pressed. This allows the host to control what
operations will occur on a button press. Note: Use this mode if you want to provide feedback
to the user on the success or fail of the operations.
(please see the REQ_DONE request).
Normal (02h or 03h)
Performs a GET_TAG_ID operation, trying to read the tag Id of whatever tag is in the RF field.
Read Block 0 (04)
Performs a READ_BLOCK operation when the device is connected to a host and button is
pressed. Sends back tag id and block 0 data.
Note: to read or write to block “N” please use the SET_CONNECTED_MODE request during when connected to a host.
