setMode()
(modeString,settingString), (list)
Set mode modeString to settingString, and
return the current setting. list contains pairs of
modeString and settingString pairs. modeString
and settingString may be descriptive strings, or
numeric code strings. Numeric codes are
preferred because the descriptive strings
depend on the language localization setting.
Use the list argument to set several modes at
once. This table shows both the descriptive
string (in English) followed by the equivalent
numeric code.
