The HyperTerminal dialog window will display the following (or similar)
prompts:
if config eth0 192.168.0.86
(IP address is set to 192.168.0.86)
if config eth0 netmask 255.255.255.0
(subnet mask is set to 255.255.255.0)
route add default gw 192.168.0.1
(gateway is set to 192.168.0.1)
Start the network configuration tool by typing:
cbconfig [ENTER]
Enter the desired IP address in the format 192.168.0.44 :
192.168.0.99 [ENTER]
(type your new value – i.e., “192.168.0.99”)
Note - If this is a value you do not wish to change, you must re-enter the old value.
Enter the desired Netmask in the format 255.255.255.0 :
255.255.254.0
[ENTER]
(type your new value – i.e.,
“255.255.254.0”)
Note - If this is a value you do not wish to change, you must re-enter the old value.
Enter the desired Gateway in the format 192.168.0.1 :
192.168.0.2
[ENTER]
(type your new value – i.e., “192.168.0.2”)
Note - If this is a value you do not wish to change, you must re-enter the old value.
After entering the new Gateway value, the cbconfig utility will display this
prompt:
Press ENTER to enable new settings, q to quit without using.
Press
[ENTER]
to accept the new settings or press
q [ENTER]
to abort without
saving.
If you accepted them in the step above, the cbconfig utility will prompt:
Press ENTER to save new config to flash, q to quit without saving.
Type
q
[ENTER]
to invoke the Save Settings to Flash utility.
Save the settings to flash and make them permanent by typing:
. cfg.sh save
[ENTER]
(type: <period>, <space>, "cfg.sh save")
Wait a few moments for the following prompts to appear:
