The Analyzer's Status Register Sets
Status Byte
The Status Byte register set summarizes the states of the other register
sets and monitors the analyzer's output queue. It is also responsible for
generating service requests see

The Status Byte Register Set
The Status Byte register set does not conform to the general status
register model described at the beginning of this chapter. It contains only
two registers: the Status Byte register and the Service Request enable
register. The Status Byte register behaves like a condition register for all
bits except bit 6. The Service Request enable register behaves like a
standard enable register except that bit 6 is always set to 0.
