Name:
wfFrSwRnniVcReportedStatus
Object ID:
1.3.6.1.4.1.18.3.5.9.6.24.15
Type:
Integer
Access:
Read Only
Default:
3 (Unreported)
Description:
Contains a symbolic integer value that specifies the advertised state of
wfFrSwRnniVcDlci.
1 (Reported and Acknowledged) -- specifies that DLCMI has advertised
wfFrSwRnniVcDlci, and received an acknowledgment.
2 (Reported but Unacknowledged) -- specifies that DLCMI has advertised
wfFrSwRnniVcDlci, but, has not yet received an acknowledgment.
3 (Unreported, the default) -- specifies that DLCMI has not yet advertised
wfFrSwRnniVcDlci.
Depending on configuration options, the DLCMI can advertise the state of
wfFrSwRnniVcDlci to (1) the remote end of the PVC segment, if cross-network signaling
is enabled, (2) the remote peer on the other side of an NNI, or (3) to both of these
“customers.”
To determine the advertised state, DLCMI consults wfFrSwRnniVcState (which contains
the PVC state as determined by DLCMI), wfFrSwRnniVcReceivedStatus (which contains
the PVC state as reported by the remote side of an NNI), and
wfFrSwRnniVcCrossNetStatus (which contains the PVC state as reported by the switch at
the remote end of the PVC segment).
When all three values coincide, DLCMI advertises this value. If values differ, however,
DLCMI uses the following algorithms to determine the advertised state.
For an advertisement to the other side of an NNI:
-
DLCMI ignores wfFrSwRnniVcReceivedStatus to avoid status update loops.
-
If wfFrSwRnniVcState and wfFrSwRnniVcCrossNetStatus are both active, the PVC
is advertised as active. Otherwise, the PVC is advertised as inactive.
For an advertisement to the remote end of a PVC segment:
-
DLCMI ignores wfFrSwRnniVcCrossNetStatus to avoid status update loops.
-
If wfFrSwRnniVcState and wfFrSwRnniVcReceivedStatus are both active, the PVC
is advertised as active. Otherwise, the PVC is advertised as inactive.
