General functions
Sluicing of empty racks
The autoclave has a function where empty racks can be transported through the autoclave
without performing a sterilization cycle (see Functional Specifications autoclave). The
transport system logic in automatic mode is as follows:
1.
Every empty rack is sluiced until a full rack arrives at the loading position.
2.
Once a full rack has arrived, the entire autoclave is filled, regardless of the content of the
following racks.
Emptying of system
In semi-auto, select Emptying on HMI for loading of zone 1.
OK signal to transport system resets, no more tub enters Flexlink 101.
Last nests are loaded on nest stand-by robot 110.
Last sleeve, rack and last autoclave batch are processed even if the batch is not full.
On unloading side, everything run as normal until last tub is sent out to transport system.
Hold time monitoring
All tubs/nests get a timestamp when entering the system, this is stored as an ID of that
tub/nest. In all racks the time of the oldest ID is monitored until autoclave cycle is finished
with OK.
The rack transport system is monitoring the holding time at two positions.
1.
At loading of racks into autoclave. The holding time is calculated from the time stamp
entering the system to when the time stamp is loaded onto the autoclave. Autoclave is
loaded regardless of calculated holding time, the following scenarios are evaluated:
a.
Holding time < 10 hours => load without any alarm/warning
b.
Holding time 10-20 hours => load with holding time warning
c.
Holding time > 20 hours => set pharma-alarm and FLAG Automatic Unloading
Autohorized = FALSE
2.
At unloading of racks out of autoclave, the holding time is calculated from the time stamp
entering the system until the time stamp when the autoclave is unloaded. The following
scenarios are evaluated:
a.
Holding time < 10 hours => FLAG Automatic Unloading Autohorized = TRUE
b.
Holding time 10-20 hours => FLAG Automatic Unloading Autohorized = TRUE
c.
with holding time warning
d.
Holding time > 20 hours => set pharma-alarm and FLAG Automatic Unloading
Autohorized = FALSE
For more detailed information about logic on hold time monitoring, see functional
specification.
