Common Commands
Models 2510 and 2510-AT User’s Manual
*SAV <NRf> — save
Save present setup in memory
*RCL <NRf> — recall
Return to setup stored in memory
Parameters:
0 = Memory location 0
1 = Memory location 1
2 = Memory location 2
3 = Memory location 3
4 = Memory location 4
Use the *SAV command to save the present instrument setup configuration in non-volatile
memory for later recall. Any control affected by *RST can be saved by the *SAV com-
mand. The *RCL command is used to restore the instrument to the saved setup configura-
tion. Five setup configurations can be saved and recalled.
The Model 2510 ships from the factory with SYSTem:PRESet defaults loaded into the
available setup memory. If a recall error occurs, the setup memory defaults to the
SYSTem:PRESet values. See
in
:SYSTem:PRESet and *RST default conditions.
*RST — reset
Return Model 2510 to GPIB defaults
When the *RST command is sent, the Model 2510 performs the following operations:
•
Returns the Model 2510 to the GPIB default conditions (see
).
•
Cancels all pending commands.
•
Cancels response to any previously received *OPC and *OPC? commands.
*TRG — trigger
Send bus trigger to Model 2510
Use the *TRG command to issue a GPIB trigger to the Model 2510. It has the same effect
as a group execute trigger (GET).
*TST? — self-test query
Run self test and read result
Use this query command to perform a checksum test on ROM. The command places the
coded result (0 or 1) in the Output Queue. When the Model 2510 is addressed to talk, the
coded result is sent from the Output Queue to the computer.
A returned value of zero (0) indicates that the test passed, and a value of one (1) indicates
that the test failed.
