Upgrade
the
bootloader program.
sysupdate bootloader [vrf vrf-
name] dest-ipaddress filename
[
ftp
ftp-username
ftp-
password ] [reload]
Mandatory.
If the FTP option is not
specified, TFTP is used
for upgrade by default.
Example:
The following example shows how to make use of FTP server 128.255.32.10 to upgrade the
bootloader program of the device.
Hostname#sysupdate bootloader 128.255.32.10 bootloader-qsr3920-1.0.13.bin

If the reload subcommand is added, a choice whether to reboot the device after the upgrading
is completed and whether to save the configuration. If the reload subcommand is not added,
run the reload subcommand or power off the device to reboot it after the upgrading is
completed.
The device will prompt the following information:

Sysupdate bootloader bootloader-qsr3920-1.0.13.bin successfully.
The preceding message indicates that the bootloader program is upgraded successfully. And
then reboot the device. Check whether the bootloader program is upgraded normally through
the xxx information of Bootloader xxx compiled at Sep 28 2017,16:40:14”.
If the command option reload is added, the system prompts whether to
save the configuration and whether to restart the device. However, usually
the device is started after all programs are upgraded. Therefore, the reload
option is not recommended.
After the upgrade is completed, to run the new bootloader program, restart
the device.
Select the correct bootloader version for upgrade to prevent the
abnormality.
